Some members of my family members would prefer not to have their email addresses displayed in the automated newsletter. Is there a way to prevent an email address from appearing in the newsletter? On a more general point is there any way to modify the standard newsletter?

Any help and suggestions would be most appreciated - Andrew

I've wondered that too, about editing. For example sending invites out so people can visit the page when they want to; but having the ability to limit who get's a newsletter would be nice. It seems it's all or nothing. If you click to not send a newsletter none of the folks you've invited will get one. There's an edit button by each person's name which I thought would give us the ability to turn off or on the newsletter; but it seems only the ability to edit their email address. Or am I missing something?

And to your point, I was not aware everyone receiving the newsletter go each others email addresses? I thought only we did as administrators? How are you seeing that they are seeing email addresses?

Thanks for posting your good questions, hope someone will respond with an answer.

Thanks for your comments, Sandy.

From what I can see the newsletter will display the email addresses of anyone that has one set up on the family tree.

Thank you Andrew. Your response is dated July 29th, and today Sept 8th I received an email that there was a response to my question....that's really pathetic timing for the "help" boards.

I've gone back and looked now multiple times to see what can be done about the newsletters and it seems nothing. So, I've turned off the newsletter for the time being. The option, and the only one I can see beyond turning it off, is to delete the emails and then people can't visit? Or can they still from the original invitation?

Adding my email so you can respond to me in a shorter period of time. sandycrochet@gmail.com
